A “green” three-day event took place in Thessaloniki from March 13 to 15, as the Renewable EnergyTech exhibition was held for the second consecutive year, in conjunction with Forward Green, organized by TIF-HELEXPO in collaboration with energypress. Specifically, it is an internationally-oriented exhibition aiming at the market of green and smart energy in Southeastern Europe—an area showing strong upward momentum—as well as an initiative intended to promote a new business mindset based on circular economy, green growth, and the transformation of business models towards sustainable development and the conservation of natural resources.

This new approach is based on circular design, which begins with the utilization of raw materials, moves through production, distribution, and consumption, and finally reaches the recycling of products—thus minimizing the amount of waste entering the environment.

Some of the topics discussed at the exhibition focused on renewable energy sources, particularly the challenges and emerging opportunities in the sector, as well as the necessary tools for implementing a circular economy. Additionally, issues were raised regarding self-production and energy storage, geothermal energy, green gases, electromobility, energy saving, smart management applications, the recycling of photovoltaics and batteries, and of course, the energy transition. Simultaneously, the exhibition addressed waste management solutions, both liquid and solid, as well as water treatment, waste collection and processing, energy recovery from residues, and technologies related to environmental protection, wind energy, photovoltaics, biogas, accumulators, and more.

Renewable EnergyTech emerged as an important platform for the exchange of ideas and the presentation of innovative solutions in the fields of circular economy and green energy. It concluded with high-quality outcomes, both in terms of the large number of domestic and international business visitors and in terms of exhibitor participation, with 200 exhibitors from 21 countries taking part, along with a program of targeted parallel events.

Furthermore, in an effort to expand dialogue on critical topics, a series of conferences and speeches were hosted, featuring both public and private sector representatives from the relevant industries. At the same time, hundreds of requests were submitted for B2B business meetings, held in a specially designed space aimed at facilitating the promotion of new business initiatives.

A particularly notable element was the Circulart Thessaloniki initiative, which featured the “RE-CYCLING” exhibition, showcasing paintings, sculptures, and wall art created from recyclable materials. These materials were given a new artistic purpose by the artists Antonio Fenili, Barry Feldman, Michalis Garoudis, Ersi Chatziargyrou, and Sotiris Chatzipouflis.

In its ongoing effort to expand knowledge in the field of low-enthalpy geothermal energy and broaden professional networks and social connections, the Greenext Drilling Company actively participated as an exhibitor in Renewable EnergyTech and took part in the B2B meetings.
